IRONMAN Coaching

IRONMAN Coaching Is More Than Building Fitness

The full distance punishes small mistakes. An athlete can be fit enough to have a great race and still lose the day through poor pacing, inadequate fueling, unnecessary surges, bad decisions, or training that creates fatigue faster than adaptation.

QT2 approaches IRONMAN as a distinct endurance problem. Training is built around durable aerobic fitness, current Critical Power and Critical Speed, the athlete's ability to absorb stress, and the specific demands of racing for many hours. Race execution matters as much as raw fitness.

Our coaches help athletes understand how hard the bike should actually feel, how to preserve the run, how to fuel early enough to protect late-race performance, and how to make decisions when conditions stop matching the plan.

QT2 is appropriate for first-time IRONMAN athletes who want guidance and for experienced athletes trying to turn years of training into more consistent race execution. Service selection depends less on how fast you are than on how often your training needs to change and how much coach interaction you want.

A full-distance build should not become a contest to see how much training you can survive. It should create the most useful fitness you can repeatedly absorb, then teach you how to spend that fitness well on race day.
