About the Presenter: 
Jennie Hansen is a physical therapist, triathlon coach, and professional triathlete. She earned her BS in Exercise Science from the University at Buffalo in 2006, her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2009, and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Public Health in 2020. She has been practicing in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy settings for 12 years, with a special interest in treating runners and triathletes. Jennie also coaches triathletes with QT2 Systems, and has been competing at the professional level with the team since 2012, with several Ironman podium finishes. Jennie resides in Rochester, NY, with her husband and their two rescue dogs.

In the third webinar of The Run Formula Boston Marathon Webinar Series, Coaches Michelle Fisher and Jon Falk focus on the weeks, days and hours lead up to the race start, including the taper and pre-race logistics.

About the Presenters: 
Michelle Fisher began as an athlete with QT2 Systems in late 2007 and after following the QT2 protocol, she finished the Boston Marathon in a time of 3:19 (PR), and had several run and triathlon PR’s to follow – Half Marathon (1:28:14), Sprint (57:26), Olympic (2:24:35), Ironman 70.3 (4:45:47), and Ironman (10:24:56). In the 2009 Ironman World Championships, Michelle’s run split (3:31) off the bike was fast enough to use as her qualifying time for the Boston Marathon!

Jon Falk has run 15 sub three hour marathons, including a personal best of 2:46 at the 2006 Chicago and a 2:49 at the 2006 Boston Marathon. Other times of note are his 7h 40m finish at the 2006 JFK 50 Mile and his 59:47 finish at the 2006 Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run. He has made the podium at three races including a 1st place finish at the 2005 Rock Creek Park Marathon ), a 3rd place finish at the Delaware Marathon, and 1st place finish at the 2018 Bay of Fundy Half Marathon (Lubec, Maine). He has also achieved 7 age groups wins at the marathon distance.

Hillary is also a World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Championship Qualifier. She has raced the NYC Marathon many times, runner her way to a 3:04 PR in 2021.

Heather started coaching summer league swim teams and swim lessons at age 16 through college and still does this today. Upon graduation from college, Heather lived in Hawaii where she founded and coached a triathlon and running training team from 1994-2000. Heather was also a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and Johnny G Spinning Master Instructor/trainer in Honolulu and then Pennsylvania where she lived from 2000-2012. In PA, Heather also coached a summer league swim team and was the Head Age Group coach of a USA year-round swim team and coached triathletes both individually and in groups. In The Woodlands, Heather coaches and is an administrator for a USA Swim Team, coaches Masters Swimmers, teaches private and group lessons in swim, bike and run.  Heather also coached Youth triathlon for beginner through Elite athletes.

Jon grew up just off of the Boston Marathon course. As a child, he was in awe of the athletes that ran by his house every April, and thought that everyone knew exactly how far a marathon is. He has always been active, playing three sports in high school (cross country, wrestling, and lacrosse) and wrestling collegiately (Trinity College). He continued to run after graduating college, competing in his first marathon (Marine Corps Marathon) in 2002, and fell in love with distance running. Since 2002, Jon has completed over 50 marathons and ultramarathons, including eight marathons in which he served as an official race pacer. He has completed the Boston Marathon 10 times, as well as accumulated over 30 BQ’s. He started coaching in 2008, successfully guiding his first client to a Boston Marathon qualifying time. Jon is a student of the sport of running, having earned coaching certifications from the RRCA and USATF, as well as a MS in Exercise and Sports Science. He is still running competitively as a Masters athlete, finishing the 2019 Chicago Marathon in 2:55 and the 2020 Hyannis Marathon in 2:56. He and his wife have been married since 2007, and together they have three beautiful children and a gecko.
