The Ideal Performance State

  • Below is an ‘inverted U’, where Energy/Anxiety level runs along on the horizontal axis, and Performance Potential along the vertical axis. Performance Potential peaks at a 5 out of 10, in terms of Energy/Anxiety level. An Energy/Anxiety level of a 1 or 10 is not nearly as powerful as a 5, which is the ‘Goldilocks Ideal Performance State’, neither too energized nor too relaxed, neither too anxious nor too calm.
