QT2 Systems Coaching
One Framework.
Four Ways to Train.
Not every athlete needs the same level of coaching. Here's how to find yours.
Here's something most coaching companies won't say out loud: not every athlete needs a coach in their ear every day. Some athletes thrive with a framework and the autonomy to execute it. Others need a human who will notice things they can't see themselves. Most fall somewhere in between.
At QT2, we built four coaching tiers for exactly this reason. They all run on the same engine — QT2.0 StressLogic, block periodization, Critical Power and Critical Speed testing, and precision training zones — but the level of coach involvement is calibrated to what you actually need.
Think of it like a GPS navigation system. The map and routing intelligence are the same for everyone. The question is how much you want the voice guiding you turn by turn versus just seeing the route and driving.
The QT2.0 Framework — the foundation for every tier
Every QT2 service includes CP/CS testing for accurate training zones, StressLogic-guided load management, block periodization, PMC tracking, and access to the QT2 athlete community. The difference between tiers isn't the quality of the training system — it's how deeply your coach is involved in applying it to your life.
Base+ Coach Support
The system, in your hands.
Base+ Coach Support is the entry point into QT2 coaching, and it's genuinely powerful for the right athlete. Your coach builds your training in four-week blocks, grounded in QT2.0 principles and calibrated to your zones, race calendar, and current fitness. They review how each block goes and use it to shape the next one.
What it doesn't include is constant coach presence. Communication is athlete-initiated — you reach out when you need something, not the other way around. Feedback is available on up to five workouts per block if you request it. This is a feature, not a limitation. If you're self-directed and just want the QT2 system working for you without a lot of back and forth, this is clean and efficient.
Not the right fit if you want regular feedback, proactive check-ins, or a coach who reaches out when something looks off in your data.
Base+ Coaching
The system, with a coach in the conversation.
Base+ Coaching takes everything in Coach Support and adds genuine, consistent coach engagement. Your coach actively stays in the loop throughout each four-week block — reviewing your Key, Quality, and Long sessions, communicating with you regularly, and using your execution data to inform the next block.
The structure is still block-based, which keeps things predictable and deliberate. You won't get weekly plan overhauls or day-to-day adjustments — but you will get a coach who's paying attention and talking to you throughout, not just at the beginning and end of a cycle. For a lot of athletes, this is the sweet spot.
Not the right fit if you need your plan adjusted mid-block, want weekly recalibration, or are dealing with a schedule that changes constantly.
QT2.0 1-1 Coaching
Your training. Built weekly. Steered deliberately.
This is where QT2 coaching shifts from block-based to fully individualized and weekly. Your coach builds your training week by week, applies StressLogic to your actual load and recovery data, and makes deliberate adjustments when meaningful signals warrant a change.
The key word there is deliberate. Adjustments aren't made reactively for every missed workout — they're made when the data and context actually call for it. This keeps training stable and progressive without constant noise. Think of it as a surgeon who knows when to operate and when to leave it alone.
You get weekly StressLogic-guided load management, full PMC oversight, and feedback on your Key, Quality, and Long workouts each week. Communication is structured — enough to keep you and your coach aligned, without the overhead of unlimited back-and-forth.
Not the right fit if you need daily feedback, unlimited communication, personalized fueling guidance, or a coach actively adapting your plan around life chaos in real time.
QT2.0 1-1 Comprehensive Coaching
The full partnership. Your coach is all in.
Comprehensive Coaching is QT2's most complete service, and it's built for athletes who need — or simply want — a deeply engaged coaching relationship. Your coach isn't waiting for signals to intervene. They're proactively involved.
Training adapts continuously based on your performance data, recovery trends, schedule changes, life stress, and qualitative inputs. If your week goes sideways on Tuesday, your coach knows by Wednesday and has already thought about what Thursday looks like. Unlimited communication means you can reach out freely, and daily workout feedback means nothing important slips through unreviewed.
For triathletes, this tier adds individualized swim programming and technical progression — not just swim volume, but structured technical development built around your actual needs in the water. It's also the only tier that includes fully personalized fueling recommendations for all workouts, which for long-course racing can be the difference between a finish and a DNF.
Not the right fit if you prefer minimal interaction, mostly self-directed training, or a fixed structure you don't want touched. You'd be paying for a level of engagement you won't use.
How the tiers compare
At a glance — same system, different levels of coach engagement.
The honest question to ask yourself
It's not "which tier is best?" — it's "how much of this do I actually need?" The most effective coaching relationship is one where the level of engagement matches the athlete's real needs. Over-coaching an autonomous athlete creates friction. Under-coaching an athlete who needs guidance leaves performance on the table. Be honest about where you are, not where you think you should be.
